Scared, sad, lonely, arrogant and a truckload of other things all stem from one thing…. Insecurity. We all have insecurities, no matter who you are or how awesome you think you are, I can guarantee you there is something about yourself that makes you self conscience around others. Don’t let those insecurities consume you and become your shadow. Don’t let them hover over you. Despite what your weak brain tells you, when people look at you they don’t see your flaws. They don’t see your brokenness. They see the beauty that is you.
Ephesians 5:29-30 “After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church- for we are members of His body”
This doesn’t mean only feed yourself physically (which is important) but also spiritually. Dig into the Word and grow in Christ. You were made for a purpose, and it isn’t to walk around ashamed of who you are or scared to be who God made you. When God looks at you He doesn’t see your flaws. He looks down and sees all those who are broken and hurting and he can’t wait to stitch you up and send you about your merry way.
Isaiah 57:15 “For this is what the high and exalted One says- he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
He is going to save you.
He is going to lift you up.
And He will never forget about you!
